What if I don’t have any students with Dyslexia?

Current research says 1 in 5 students has Dyslexia, so in a classroom size of 25 students, approximately 5 kids have Dyslexia.

I’ve already taken LETRs training with my school. How does Structured Literacy fit in to what I have learned through LETRs?

Think of LETRs training as the theoretical component and Structured Literacy as the application component. Part of being an effective reading teacher is having knowledge in both the theories and application.

What is Demystifying Dyslexia’s refund policy?

The first step is to email demystifyingdyslexia@protonmail.com the concern you have and why you would like a refund. Courses are 100% refundable within 60 days of purchase and with proof of course work completed. Workshops in person or online are nonrefundable but if due to act of mother nature through facility damage, flooding, hurricane, tornado, fire, earthquake, the workshop will be refunded if rescheduling is out of the question. How do I approach my administration about teaching Structured Literacy when they have given me a curriculum to teach with?

In the resource section of the website, there is a downloadable booklet you can share with your administration in regards to implementing a Structured Literacy approach into your classroom and teaching it parallel to an existing curriculum.

Is Structured Literacy a curriculum?

No. It is an approach to teaching students with Dyslexia, but it is not a curriculum on its own. Some educators do just use a Structured Literacy approach as their sole instruction format.
